A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MATTEO !!! MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!

Our tree planting was a great expirement, we planted over 500 trees total a few weeks ago, but the crabs ate them. ICE has agreed to donate more so we can try it again, this time though we are taking the trees to the hostel and caring for them there. After they get bigger and stronger we will take them to the beach and try again. The trees we got were pretty small the first time around. We are  building little cages for them also so the crabs have a harder time  getting to them…

Saturday June 5th Solo Bueno planted 20 new trees at the guiled iguana entrance to Guiones. Ice donated 500 trees total to the guiones sector of the Ostional Refuge. A Big thanks to Steve Reyer  from Coconut Harrys’ Surf shop for coordinating the event. And A SUPER BIG THANKS to Julie and Fran for helping out with the planting…….

Well the rain has started, but the good thing is no more dust!!! and everything is so green now and life at the Bueno is chillled out…come visit and enjoy some of this….

Yesterday we worked on the “techito”, afterwards we went the Mini to celebrate a hard days work….(little did we suspect….Duhnn Duhnn Dunnnhn)     RAIN.!!!!! and lots of it…. The Bueno had its own waterfall and an  indoor pool.!!!!!!! Our “Exclusive” guests Glenned up and helped sweep out most of the water. Today we spent drying everything out and got half the roof finished… the other half is ghetto fabulous with a tarp covering it( Thanks Chandi,  from Il Basillico) tomorrow we hope to have the other side done. stay tuned for further updates and check out the new photos….

Saturday the 10th. Yesterday we finished burning the last of the palms from the roof. Last night we got about 10 minutes of rain, so please cross your fingers it doesnt rain too much until the roof is back on……Today we are working on the “techito” its the top part of the roof that vents the hot air out of the top.  Debbie is taking pictures as we progress, so I will be posting more pics as the week end and weeks progress…..

We are currently under construction at the Bueno. We started removing the palm thatching on Wednesday the 7th. Today the other half comes off and then its on with the Cin….. More Pics to Follow……

The Winners of the Mustache Marche Contest are 1st place- Don Pablo. 2nd place went to Robert the neighbor and 3rd place to Jacob…. Better luck next year guys….. Also the Winner of the wet T-shirt contest was  Senada of Cafe Lounge……Pics will be posted soon….

We are doing it again…. we all had so much fun surfing  last months full moon, we thought we would do it again….. surfing by the light of the moon and a nice little bonfire on the beach…. Sunday night starting about 8 or 9 pm at the guilded iguana entrance to the beach….
